Seeing a need for PPE for essential workers and realizing that COVID-19 put an end to her in-person volunteering at hospitals and nursing homes, Akanksha decided that although she was confined to her home, she could still make a difference. She created The Distanced Difference to help brighten patients' day virtually and protect those on the front lines of this pandemic.

COVID-19 has disrupted every aspect of everybody's lives, and all we desire is the opportunity to continue serving others and putting a smile on people's faces, no matter how far away we are. We seek to protect those who protect our health, yet do not have anybody or anything to protect their own. We strive to make a difference. We're ready to go the distance.
